Converted into a baryton in 1937 by Alcide Gavatelli (signed on wood inside), rebuilt as a viol in the 1990s; re-restored by Tilman Muthesius in 1998-99. New neck and fittings; body length not original. Owner’s website now gives string length as 72.5.
