Table and back with 2 inked lines of “purfling” and partially overhanging edges; back not maple? Neck with significant angle and appui (and no frets) unlikely to be original; pegbox has fluted back but otherwise plain; head with thick white (bone?) collar looks down the fingerboard. FB and tailpiece have diagonal ends nearest bridge; tailgut and button for endpin, set in 4.4 cm wide raised strip of wood, with saddle spliced in. Unusually thick and wide soundpost plate, plus crossbars below and at fold. Repair label under treble soundhole: Reparé par _____ _____ / pour mon ami / Henri Casadesus.
