Hellwig 2011, TieWV 076 (viola d’amore); Hellwig 1980, no. 066 (“viola d’amore (?)”). Hellwig 1980 (not seen by him; info from previous owner): 2-piece table with sickle-shaped soundholes and double purfling; back of 8 rosewood and 7 maple strips; ribs also striped (2+3). Fingerboard and (non-original) tailpiece veneered with tortoiseshell framed in ivory, like TieWV 57. Dimensions 34.5, 15.0/11.5/19.0, 4.0, - . Martius 1999: Neck and pegs not original; bass bar probably is. Probably converted to violin, then back to supposed original state but keeping narrow neck; dimensions 32.9, 15.5/11.5/19.4, 3.6, 31.5. Hellwig 2011 adds: back is veneered; unclear if originally folded. Written in pencil inside back: “Repare of [?] Wilh Dürren / B[onn]...” [4Q19C]. Back widths 16.6/11.6/19.5. Köpp 2000, p. 146: viola d’amore.
