Comments:
3-piece back with center piece of darker wood (walnut?) bearing a design of diamonds in crudely-done inlay. Pegbox decorated in style of La Fille, but using different stamping tool. In 1997, set up for 5 strings; 6th (top) peg had no string hole, and 5-string tailpiece was original, according to W. L. Monical; small pegs with large white pips and notable scarring on flat surfaces, perhaps original. By 2010, set up for 6 strings, with all new pegs (no pips) and tailpiece. (NB, both other Barbey pardessus have 6 strings.)
