Comments:

Bought by Herzog as modern cello in 1990; converted to baroque cello by Marcos Goulart (Rio de Janeiro, 1990), then to 6-string viol (with new neck, pegbox, and fingerboard) by John Topham and carved head by John Agner (London, 1994); string length made as large as comfortable for owner. Converted to 7-string setup, with new neck, pegbox and head, and additional restoration work by Amit Tiefenbrunn, Israel, 2005. Pointed corners, overhanging edges. Milliot 1997: 2-piece arched back.
