Montagu 1992: “with a wrong neck.” Made for Music: 2-piece back, later head; body length 63.7 (on back), string length 63.8. Measurements from C. Beare: length on table, widths on back. Chiesa 2002: label probably authentic; pegbox not original, but would have been for 6 strings. Technical details suggest Guarneri had access to molds and templates from Amati workshop.
