Comments:
Letter from F. Grant to MAB, 7/28/74 gives provenance. Arched back; table and back overhang ribs slightly, both with ebony-and-ivory edging; neck too short for 7th fret; has inlaid ivory frets, now filed flush; once had 12 sympathetic strings, with hitchpins in pegbox and tuning pins in bottom block. Neck inset into table.
