Comments:
Striped back and ribs (dark wood on back is mahogany, on ribs cedar). Head probably by La Fille. New neck, fingerboard, block and fittings. (Neck when bought was too short, narrow, and rounded: violin-style.) 2 pegs treble, 3 bass side. Otterstedt 2004: dendrochronology gives date of 1739 for tfor youngest growth ring on table.
