Comments:
Martius MH 5. Table with double BWB purfling and (non-original) rosette; 1-piece back with no purfling is not original (by Franz Max Sämann, Dresden; after 1960?), but damaged 1-piece original still exists. Originally had a through-neck, of which only the foot remains; the neck itself is not original and grafted to the pegbox; English-style head attached to that. Back widths 25.5/19.1/30.6. Dendrochronology (by Micha Beuting) gives date of 1685 for youngest growth ring on table.
