G. da Salo model; +12 sympathetic strings (but only 6 pegs in pegbox, unlike Paris E.1669.1, also 6+12, dated 1899); table and back painted; “forme fleur de lys” (cf. upper bouts). Museum’s website: violoncelle d’amour expérimental; photo shows a central table ornament (partly gilded?) and dark scrolling floral motifs below bridge and at upper corners; fleur de lys cutout in inlaid tailpiece; tuning pins for sympathetic strings at bottom block.
