Comments:
5-piece table, 2-piece back, both with double purfling. Neck, fingerboard, and tailpiece not original. Head carved by N. Dolmetsch (letter to M.A. Ballard, 9/19/75), quasi Art Nouveau style; bridge also by Dolmetsch. Ex-Hannah Hammitt (via estate auction at Samuel Freeman, Philadelphia), who was a personal friend of Nathalie Dolmetsch.
