Sympathetic strings (only 5 now; originally 7?). Gilt head. 4 pegs treble, 3 bass side. Klaus: 2-piece table and back; overhanging edges; dimensions 84.4, 37.7/26.3/50.4, 15.2, 77.1. Küllmer: viola bastarda, French, early 18th C.; her dimensions 84, 38/27/50, 15.5, 78. Sympathetic string length also 78, and distance from bridge to bottom saddle 39; hitchpins just inside pegbox, above nut. Tourin: neck and pegbox not original?
