Martius 2001, p. 16 (back + side, rosette)
Back and ribs of ash. Neck and pegbox probably several decades younger than rest of instrument; likely updated by Blasius Weigert (Linz) for use of Matthias Puecher, active as gambist at Kremsmünster until his death in 1743. Two bridge marks on table, giving different string lengths. Rosette; head is a “Hanswurst” = fool, jester.
