La Grandville 2000, p. 3 (front 7/8, back, both body only [color])
Converted from a 6+6 viola d’amore. Elaborately decorated: painted leaf design around edge of table, coat of arms of the house of Brittany between soundholes (19th-C. addition), 3 scenes in gold on back (central sunburst, Apollo in chariot, arms of Prince of Wales); striped ribs. Known restorations in 1876 and 1975 (latter by Frédéric Boyer, who made current bridge).
