Not in Senn & Roy 1986. Converted to a cello when sold. Sotheby’s gave body length as 68.5, probably taken on the back, which is three-piece; back and ribs are bird’s-eye maple; rosette on table (hidden in Sotheby’s photo). Current head is copy of one by Matthias Albanus. Dendrochronological testing by Peter Klein shows youngest year-ring on table dates from 1633; both halves come from the same tree (also reported in Hopfner & Seipel). Montagu 1999: has a Stainer label, not mentioned in Sotheby’s catalogue.
