Comments:
Gétreau 1996, p. 735
On museum’s website (FB+S, head side; front 7/8, head side [color]); [by TGM: label (color)]
Scroll has flat sides. C-holes very vertical and placed high. With case. Body length estimated from meter stick visible in website photos; widths 17/12/21, ribs 7.5, string length 34 (seen but not measured 8/11). No label text given on website, but said to be from Mirecourt, marked “Joseph” and dated 1739. In fact, handwriting of label, though badly faded, resembles that of illustration no. 1469 in Vannes for Joseph Miraucourt (teacher and father-in-law of Desrousseaux).
