Herzog 2003, IT-42; Vázquez 1993, p. 12

Vázquez website (front body only, head 3/4, treble soundhole, label, details of bottom rib [color]) & exhibition 2010 (front 3/4 [color]); Vázquez 1993, pl. 16-17 (F+B, body only, bass F-hole detail [color])

Converted to cello, probably c. 1800 (catalogue); or 1850 (by Meinl?), by enlarging body from 72 to 75 cm (website). Original body outline, with sloping shoulders, barely visible on table but obvious on back, which has been lengthened at the bottom, requiring a rib insert where tailgut button now fastened. Table has been doubled. Current scroll is a copy of another one by Grancino; body reconstructed based on Stradivari forms and designs for viol. Photos in Vázquez 1993 show cello setup, and give body length as only 70.4.
