Gétreau 1996, p. 737; Bran-Ricci 1987, p. 40

On museum’s website (FB+S, head side); Khazine 2004, p. 8 (head side); [by TGM: label (color)]

Neck broken off, otherwise intact. Arched back with fold (and recurve, also on table). La Fille style decoration on pegbox; tailgut. Fingerboard modern. Head said to be similar to Ouvrard pardessus, E.2042. Body larger than E.2039 (PARIS 25), but smaller than CALD 1. Perhaps made not by Jean-Baptiste Deshayes Salomon (“Salomon à Paris”, though born in Reims), but instead by a relative, whose other instruments are dated as late as 1775.
