Unknown number of pieces in table; double purfling there and on back, which has large diamond-arrow patterns at bottom and below fold but nothing in center. Back widths greater than front over arching. Neck narrow, short and sharply angled back; graft to pegbox with carved back and sides, and ivory on all edges. Fingerboard and tailpiece of burled walnut with plain borders. Bridge very tall (12 cm including shims); action now too high. Hookbar now, but bottom block drilled for button and/or end pin. Pringle (from photos): English, but not by Norman; head German, neck modern. Tourin: Norman School, crude.
