Body all mahogany. Table and back both 1-piece; back is arched. Thick neck, short fingerboard, very crude scroll. Presumably amateur work, possibly for a church band. In 10/01, display label said “England, c. 1700” (Baines 1968: probably English, 18th century); shallow ribs, overhanging edges; tailpiece attached to brass end pin.
