Only body original; most decoration (e.g. black and white perimeter of table [mother of pearl and ebony]) dates from late 19th C. Head copied (also late 19C.) from baryton by Simon Schödler, 1785 (Leipzig 856): see side-by-side photos in Heyde 1986, pl. 33. Kinsky: striped back of plum and maple; neck and pegbox are replacements; dimensions 69.4, 35/-/43.5, 15, -. Tourin: neck much too short.
