BN monogram on back, which (like ribs) may be walnut. Provenance: in 1977 Hsu swapped BN’s with Cornell: his 1713 for their 1702. In early 1980s, he then sold 1702 to Sally Pinchot (and Cornell sold 1713 to U. of Michigan in 1978). Tourin’s dimensions (converted from inches, as supplied to him by Hsu): 67.3, 31.8/23.2/38.1, 13.3, 66.0; superseded by info. from Karl Dennis. Table ornament Type VI, back center BN monogram (upper and lower unclear in available photos).
