Herzog 2003, IT-10; Braun 1962

Herzog 2002, p. 157 (front); [unpublished, from M. Herzog: front, front 3/4, head front, rib detail (color); unpublished, from Markku L-M, 6/08: front from below, back, rib details, pegbox front and joint with neck, label (color)]

Back and sides elaborately decorated with painted designs in gold and black; perhaps not original? Extremely ornate pegbox and head, fastened to non-original neck with screws. Double purfling on table; flat back. More likely made in the late 19th century by “Pietro Zenatto ... in Treviso anno 1683” than Zenatto of Brescia in the 16th century.
