Striped back (DLDLD) & ribs (LDL), yew & maple. Elaborately carved head. 2 pegs treble, 3 bass side. C holes recut wider. New neck, fingerboard, tailpiece, and bridge by W. L. Monical, 1994 (seen open and unnecked at his shop 8/92); original neck had been narrowed for use as a violin. End button, but flush strip may be remains of hookbar.
