Striped back (3 light, 2 dark) and ribs (2 light, 1 dark). Original fingerboard and tailpiece with decorative purfling. Photo on museum’s website shows only 4 pegs (in positions for 1, 2, 4, and 6); no tailpiece, but blond fingerboard has English-style geometric decoration; tailpiece similar but later. Vannes: only known instrument by this maker; rest of surname is illegible. (Tourin gave maker’s [sur-]name as Charle.)
