Work Study Program

Named after the symbols used in Renaissance polyphony to helpfully indicate what the first note on the next line of music will be, “custodes” (singular “custos”) help during and before the week of Conclave to make things run smoothly. This is a great way to meet people, both among the custodes and the whole community.

Conclave work-study positions provide full-tuition scholarships: $200 (approx. 12 hours of work) for those enrolled in the Regular full-time curriculum, or $100 (approx. 6 hours of work) for those enrolled in the part-time curriculum, which includes special programs such as Consort Cooperative, Seasoned Players, and Advanced Projects.

With Conclave being online this year, many work-study tasks will occur before Conclave starts, while others will require more time during the week of Conclave.

Tasks before Conclave:

  • Collecting and organizing files on Google Drive

  • Video editing

  • Auction preparation: collecting photos, writing descriptions of items

  • Assisting the Music Director

Tasks during Conclave:

  • Social event helpers (Lunchtime, Ice Cream Social, Banquet, etc.)

  • Answering questions (using Zoom, accessing YouTube, downloading files, etc.)

  • Auction event helpers

  • Assisting the Music Director

To apply for a work-study position, please fill out that option when you register. Positions fill quickly, so be sure to apply promptly!

Deadline for applications: June 1 (recipients will be notified in early June)
