Third Coast Viols - 3rd Annual Memorial Day Weekend Workshop Nichols Concert Hall, The Music Institute of Chicago 1490 Chicago Avenue, Evanston IL Friday, May 22 through Sunday May 24, 2009 Faculty concert 7:30 pm Sunday, May 24 open seating: $20 general admission, $15 students

There will be a group social and play-in Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday classes, as well as a Saturday evening party. Consort sessions may include some independent work. The workshop will conclude May 24, 2009, at 7:30 pm with a faculty performance. Concert tickets are $20 general admission, $15 for students. The concert is free to all workshop participants. The workshop fee is: $155 early registration until April 15; $175 from April 15 to the May 8 cut-off date. An email announcement to VdGS 3rd Coast members and all VdGSA members in the area will be sent out with registration information. Registration forms are available for download only on this website. The VdGS Third Coast Mission The Viola da Gamba Society Third Coast is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the support of activities relating to the viola da gamba in the Chicago area and surrounding region. We are a chapter of the Viola da Gamba Society of America. Our society is made up of passionate performers, enthusiasts, and advocates of the viol. In addition to sponsored play-ins, we hold an annual weekend workshop Memorial Day weekend at the Music Institute of Chicago with a distinguished faculty of internationally recognized performers and scholars.
